Beginner’s Guided Meditation Series

October 1 @ 7:00 pm - 7:45 pm

welcome – let us start by saying – meditation is fun 🙂

for the month of June we are focusing on the breath and learning to detach during meditation.

“the breath plays an important role in aiding you to rest into a relaxed and detached state of meditation. detaching here is used to refer to the state of disconnecting from, your surroundings, external factors, and your thoughts.”

_____________

adapting a mindfulness practice is crucial and packed with benefits that will promote, foster, and maintain health and well-being for your mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual bodies.

join us for this beginners’ meditation series where you will learn how to relax your mind and body – and enter into a state of calm, peace, and clarity. you will also learn how to add meditation as a daily practice without feeling like you are sacrificing valuable time. do note, that even as we say, “sacrificing valuable time” – we want you to explore and discover for yourself that adapting a mindfulness practice – such as meditation – can be the best use of your time. want to hear a secret? practicing meditation daily – even if only 15 minutes – can help you better manage and regain valuable time that which is currently being misallocated.

meditation is not difficult – nor is it something to fear. once you sit in silence of the mind, stillness of the body, and concentrate on a singular thing – you are on your way to having a beautiful and effective mindfulness session. what if thoughts come up during meditation? it is simple really… notice the thoughts without judgement of whether it is taking away from your practice and without the need to explore it immediately, and bring your focus back to the single point of concentration.

try it for yourself and discover all the benefits meditation has to offer… we will guide you along the way.

what to bring:

  • drinking water
  • if you have and want to bring, your personal meditation pillow. meditation pillows provided at the center, plus one can be purchased on site to take home.
  • optional, eye mask – if complete darkness is preferred for your practice
  • dress relaxed and comfortable
  • try not to consume any “heavy” (lengthy or requiring lots of energy for the body to process) food

cost? in order to keep providing these crucial mind, body, and soul wellbeing events – a donation of $25 is appreciated (if you honestly cannot afford any amount at a particular time – please still attend)

always love.
